Inspired by actual events, this film is set within a seemingly safe care home for ‘vulnerable’ adults in Yorkshire. A traumatised Autistic resident, Robin, forms a bond with a new porter who becomes suspicious of abusive behaviour by other staff members and sets out to encourage his new friend back into a world beyond the dark confines of his solitary existence.
Robin was produced in partnership with Sparkle Sheffield, a charity that supports people with Autism and their families. The film provided on-set work experience for people with Autism, both behind the camera and on screen.
